Growing as an artist

HEY ALL YOU DEVIANT DA'S !!! A Quick note to let you all know whats been going on. As youve probably noticed Ive had quite a few posts these past couple of weeks. I know they are not ALL great, however Please be patient in that I am waiting for feedback from you guys and gals b/c what one sees as beauty another does not. I am just curious what kind of opinions everyone has, and what strikes you the most and what turns you off as a viewer. Know that I am experimenting a lot and trying to grow as an artist through that experimentation and gain knowledge of self modeling and such. I normally do not like to be in front however, with myself in control of the angles and lighting and cropping I feel you should see the spirit of who I am through means of photography. Hope you all enjoy and please feel free to let me know what you like, and what you dont. Please try and help me understand why you like a photo or why you absolutely hate it :D . I think that the perspective in some of your shots is awesome.
You should play around more with photoshop, cause some of the stuff you could produce with the photos in your gallery would be crazy good!

aww thanks so much, I will keep it up life has been very busy lately. In the middle of planning a wedding, and have a 2 1/2 year old to keep up with. Plus fixing up the house well be moving into. Havent had a whole lot of time to play with photoshop, but some day this week. K lotsa love hope all is well,

First of all, I want to state that I love your work in general and all critisizem I have is out of love! :hug:. I know that taking pictures of your child is important, and some of them are actually really cool pics but some don't feel like they have much power for me. I really like some of your pictures that have more of a mysterious element to them and get you thinking, like the black and white balloons, or the owl carving. When I look at them my mind just starts racing and thinking about what could be going on behind this picture. I would also like to see more nature pictures. I know you have some nice sunset ones but would like a more rounded view if you get what I mean, like more unobstructed views, some photos of animals really in there element. This is just my opinion though so if you don't agree then toss it out and don't let me cloud your vision! ;)

Lol. sorry its been so long ive been uber busy with life in general. I do agree with your opinion and hope that you will take the time to look at some of the work that I havent posted on here thats displayed on my myspace page. It is difficult for me to capture animals more so than other stuff although I would LOVE that kind of work. I really do appreciate your input, and sight on the situation and work that I have put out there for the world to see. I am currently moving into a new house that is in a more rural area so there will be better opportunity to venture out into the yard and find something a little more interesting that just a sunset.
